Data Science and AI Specialist

About the role

The National Bank of Iraq is looking for a Data Science and AI Specialist to drive its data‑driven transformation. The role focuses on building advanced analytical models, delivering actionable insights, and supporting AI/ML implementation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, process, and prepare data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and quality for analysis.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Design, develop, and implement machine‑learning models for classification, prediction, clustering and other use cases.
• Improve model performance through feature engineering, hyper‑parameter tuning, and optimization.
• Deploy models into operational environments, monitor performance, and address model drift or degradation.
• Create analytical reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, AI or data analytics.
