Business Intelligence Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Officer to join ZainCash Iraq’s data team. The role will support the company’s fintech products by turning raw data into actionable insights that drive performance and risk management. You will work closely with product, marketing and risk teams to deliver high‑quality analytical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Perform deep analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns and improvement opportunities.
• Apply statistical methods and advanced analytics for budgeting, forecasting and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver BI‑based reports and solutions.
• Visualize complex findings in clear, decision‑ready formats.
• Continuously improve BI processes by monitoring fintech trends and applying best practices in data governance.
• Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports using Tableau and Power BI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business, Finance, Statistics or Computer Science.
• At least one year of experience in data engineering or data analysis, preferably in fintech or financial services.

Required skills

• SQL – expert level for data extraction and transformation.
• Advanced Excel – complex formulas, data cleaning and manual reporting.
• Python or R – functional knowledge for statistical modeling.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data‑warehouse concepts.
• Proficiency with Tableau and Power BI for dashboard creation.
• Experience working in Agile‑driven data teams.
