Audit & Assurance Intern - Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA)

About the role

Deloitte is offering an internship in its Audit & Assurance practice, within the Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) area, based in Erbil for fiscal year 2027. The intern supports audit work and gains practical exposure to AI tools through university or graduation projects and day-to-day use.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in performing an analytical review of audit documents
• Review client accounting and operating procedures and systems of internal control
• Identify accounting and auditing issues and research solutions
• Provide recommendations for improved controls and better business efficiency

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in accounting or a related field
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work on several assignments at once
• Ability to work as part of a team with professionals at all levels
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing); bilingual Arabic/English preferred

Required skills

• Practical exposure to AI tools, with the ability to explain how they supported outcomes
• Strong digital mindset and willingness to learn and apply firm-approved tools
• Sound judgement and integrity when using AI, including confidentiality, data handling and ethical use
