About the role

The American University of Iraq, Baghdad (AUIB) seeks a dynamic Vice President for Advancement and External Relations to lead its fundraising, alumni, partnership, and government engagement initiatives. This senior leader will shape long‑term advancement strategies that support institutional growth, sustainability, and community impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major‑gift fundraising, sponsorships, and philanthropic campaigns.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, government agencies, and international organizations.
• Strengthen alumni relations, volunteer networks, and alumni giving programs.
• Represent AUIB to key external stakeholders and community leaders.
• Create and implement long‑term advancement plans, policies, and performance metrics.

• Proven experience in fundraising and donor relationship management.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
