Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to oversee procurement, inventory control and logistics coordination at Al Safi Group’s headquarters in Baghdad. The role ensures smooth flow of goods and services to support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day supply chain operations including procurement, inventory control, logistics coordination and supplier management.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and logistics providers to guarantee timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment to maintain optimal stock.
• Track purchase orders, shipments and deliveries, resolving any supply issues.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement and inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and support performance evaluations.
• Assist in negotiating pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms to achieve cost savings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Minimum three years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain roles.
• Knowledge of supply chain procedures, contracts and supplier management.
• Experience in vendor negotiations and contract management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software.
