Shop Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Shop Manager will lead a Decathlon store within the AZADEA Group, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient operations, and strong financial performance. This role combines hands‑on store management with strategic planning to drive sales and maintain brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Detect and anticipate customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity.
• Greet customers, address inquiries and complaints, and foster loyalty.
• Maintain up‑to‑date store licenses, employee documentation, and compliance with local regulations.
• Oversee receiving, inventory control, cycle counts, stock movements, and shrinkage management.
• Analyze sales performance, monitor top‑selling items, and coordinate replenishment.
• Prepare staff schedules based on budgeted hours, traffic, and operational needs.
• Log commercial and operational data on internal platforms promptly.
• Manage the annual budget, monitor expenditures, and report variances.
• Ensure shop image, cleanliness, displays, and visual standards are met.
• Produce KPI reports on sales, inventory, and team productivity.
• Process customer orders and coordinate with warehouse for smooth fulfillment.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the team; conduct daily briefings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail store management or similar supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of inventory, budgeting, and sales analysis.
• Ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and compliance with regulatory standards.
