About the role

The American University of Iraq, Baghdad is looking for an experienced Senior Teaching Assistant to lead and support its dental clinics and laboratories. This position combines clinical supervision with educational mentorship, ensuring high‑quality patient care while fostering student learning.

Key responsibilities

• Organize daily activities in the dental clinics, guaranteeing efficient patient flow, readiness of clinical areas, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide direct supervision and hands‑on guidance to undergraduate dental students during clinical practice.
• Maintain infection‑control standards, enforce clinical policies, and ensure compliance with academic regulations.
• Collaborate with faculty, clinic managers, and administration on scheduling, assessments, reporting, and continuous improvement of clinical education.
• Support quality‑assurance initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical training curricula.
