Senior Project Associate – Durable Solutions & Reintegration

About the role

The Senior Project Associate will support IOM’s Durable Solutions Unit in Iraq by overseeing the implementation of projects that assist internally displaced persons and returnees to achieve safe, dignified and sustainable reintegration. Reporting to the Durable Solutions Programme Coordinator and working closely with field officers, the role combines monitoring, budgeting, analysis and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the implementation of durable solutions and reintegration activities on the ground.
• Monitor project progress against targets and produce regular reports.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures and ensure financial compliance.
• Conduct data collection, research and analysis, including use of the Displacement Tracking Matrix.
• Facilitate coordination with government, UN and NGO partners.
• Support capacity‑building initiatives for local staff and field officers.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to project development and supervision.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in project coordination or implementation within humanitarian or migration contexts.
• Familiarity with durable solutions, reintegration processes and internally displaced populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑sectoral partners and field teams.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
