Reporting and Planning Analyst – Energy Project

About the role

An international energy project is seeking a Reporting and Planning Analyst to coordinate procurement planning, compliance monitoring and management reporting. The role transforms contract and purchasing data into reliable plans and clear updates for project teams while helping improve the controls and processes that support procurement decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain procurement plans with project stakeholders, track milestones and flag delays or gaps with practical recommendations.
• Check the completeness and accuracy of procurement records, system entries and reports; investigate discrepancies and follow through on corrections.
• Prepare recurring reports, dashboards and ad‑hoc analysis for project leadership, internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Work with technical, commercial and other teams to align schedules, reporting inputs, supporting documents and compliance activities.
• Keep audit‑ready records, respond to information requests and support reviews against contracts, policies and regulations.
• Maintain procedures, guidance and templates for procurement planning and reporting; brief colleagues on relevant process changes.
• Review sourcing activity and workload data to identify trends, capacity issues and ways to improve procurement efficiency.
• Engage with public bodies and external parties when authorised, following the organisation’s approval and conduct requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, economics, law or a related field.
• Experience in procurement compliance, planning, reporting or audit on substantial oil‑and‑gas or other major energy projects.
• Understanding of procurement contracts, project governance, sourcing methods and the technical and commercial context of energy operations.
• Strong data analysis, record‑keeping and reporting skills.
