About the role
The Programme Coordinator will support the Head of Mission in designing, implementing and managing INTERSOS’s humanitarian programmes across Iraq and Jordan. Based in Erbil, the role involves overseeing protection and education activities, coordinating with project managers and ensuring alignment with organisational strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Mission in developing and defining the mission programme in line with INTERSOS policies.
- Lead the preparation of new programme concepts and proposals.
- Supervise project managers and monitor the delivery of protection services, including case management, MHPSS and legal assistance.
- Coordinate education initiatives for Syrian refugees and Iraqi IDPs, particularly in the Kurdistan region.
- Organise missions to Jordan and conduct field visits to project sites.
- Ensure compliance with reporting, budgeting and donor requirements.
Required profile
- Relevant university degree (e.g., International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences).
- Experience in humanitarian programme coordination, preferably in protection or education sectors.
- Familiarity with IDP and refugee contexts in Iraq and Jordan.
- Ability to travel regularly between Erbil and project locations.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
