Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing safe, smooth and efficient plant operations. Working closely with the Plant Manager, Deputy Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager, the role leads all operational activities on site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall management of all site equipment and systems, utilizing GE Vernova or the customer’s workforce.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to maximise plant efficiency while meeting safety, reliability, economic and environmental requirements.
• Ensure accurate recording of plant operations and maintenance data, and conduct periodic operational checks in line with customer, manufacturer and legal standards.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Establish and manage sampling programs to control chemistry specifications for equipment and systems.
• Implement and oversee the Log‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO) system according to contractor policies.
• Develop operating procedures for major systems using designer manuals and vendor instructions.
• Recommend facility modifications and upgrades to improve reliability and performance.
• Coordinate with GE Vernova O&M support, engineering and other functions to resolve complex operational issues.
• Drive optimisation of operating strategies to reduce costs and increase output.
• Prepare and analyse plant operating logs and activity reports.
• Support root‑cause analysis of technical events and assist in training the customer’s operations team.
• Manage chemical inventory and consumables to maintain optimal plant chemistry.
• Provide coverage for Plant Manager, Deputy Plant Manager or Maintenance Manager as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate engineer in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in plant or industrial operations management.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to develop and implement operational strategies and procedures.
