About the role

AUIB is seeking an Open Rank Faculty member in Biology to deliver high‑quality, student‑centered education and contribute to research and curriculum development. The successful candidate will join a diverse academic community and help shape the future of biological sciences education.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, histology, and biochemistry.
• Develop and update curriculum materials for both basic and advanced biology courses.
• Participate in departmental planning, program development, and academic meetings.
• Supervise laboratory sessions and guide student research projects.
• Adhere to university policies, regulations, and academic standards.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of post‑secondary teaching experience.
• Commitment to student‑centered teaching and mentorship.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with the American higher‑education system and university policies.
