OHTL Electrical Technician

About the role

The OHTL Electrical Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing overhead transmission lines (OHTL) for Anton Oilfield Services Group in Iraq. The role involves ensuring the reliability and safety of high‑voltage transmission infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair high‑voltage transmission lines and associated electrical equipment.
• Conduct line inspections to identify faults, damaged components, and safety hazards.
• Maintain transmission line components such as conductors, insulators, towers, and earthing systems.
• Support testing, fault diagnosis, and restoration of transmission line systems.
• Ensure availability of tools, equipment, materials, and spare parts for maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare daily and monthly activity reports.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical maintenance experience, including at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or similar industrial sector.
• Hands‑on experience in OHTL maintenance, high‑voltage transmission systems, and associated electrical equipment.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
