OHTL Electrical Technician

About the role

The OHTL Electrical Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing overhead transmission lines (OHTL) in Iraq. This role involves ensuring the reliability and safety of high‑voltage transmission infrastructure for Anton Oilfield Services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of overhead transmission lines.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair high‑voltage transmission lines and associated equipment.
• Identify faults, damaged components, and safety hazards during line inspections.
• Maintain conductors, insulators, towers, and earthing systems.
• Support testing, fault diagnosis, and restoration of transmission line systems.
• Ensure availability of tools, equipment, materials, and spare parts for maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare daily and monthly activity reports.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and permit‑to‑work requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical maintenance experience, with at least 6 years in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar industrial sector.
• Hands‑on experience in OHTL maintenance and high‑voltage transmission systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
