Instrumentation & Controls Technician – Fixed-Term (6 months)

About the role

The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician will join GE Vernova's Gas Power FieldCore team on a six‑month fixed‑term contract starting October 2026. The role involves disassembling, inspecting, repairing, calibrating and maintaining field instruments and control systems for power generation equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and report abnormal or out‑of‑tolerance equipment conditions and initiate corrective actions.
• Provide daily documentation of inspections, maintenance, repairs and other activities following approved procedures.
• Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate and maintain instruments after repairs.
• Communicate with customer staff regarding calibration, repair and operation of equipment.
• Perform work in accordance with equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety standards.
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
• Travel extensively, both internationally and domestically.
• Undertake additional duties to support the FieldCore vision and organizational values.

Required profile

• Two‑year degree in a scientific field preferred or equivalent related work experience.
• Basic English language proficiency.
• 1–3 years of experience in instrumentation, controls, installation, calibration, maintenance or repair of equipment.
• Appropriate license or certification where required by federal, state or local laws.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to travel extensively for field assignments.
