Geology Superintendent

About the role

The Geology Superintendent will supervise all geological activities for field development, providing technical support for new well execution and coordinating wellsite geology, mudlogging, LWD/MWD, wireline, coring and geo‑steering operations on a 24/7 basis.

Key responsibilities

• Make key decisions during well operations, including total depth calls, data acquisition, well correlations and completion recommendations.
• Supervise quality control of petrophysical data, supplemental services (coring, pressure sampling, image and sonic logs, downhole seismic) and ensure timely delivery of geological information.
• Lead Wellsite Geologists and mud loggers, oversee mudlogging, wireline and coring contracts, evaluate bids and approve invoices.
• Prepare and submit Geological Final Well Reports, master logs and daily comparison of prognosed vs. actual drilling data.

Required profile

• BSc in Geology with at least 10 years of operations geology experience, preferably in the MENA region.
• Proven experience delivering wells in carbonate and clastic reservoirs.
• Strong knowledge of pore pressure, geomechanics and real‑time data interpretation.

Required skills

• Geological software: Gravitas, TechLog, Petrel.
• Real‑time data interpretation: LWD/MWD, mud logging, wireline logging.
• Petrophysical and geophysical analysis, including pore pressure and fracture gradient assessment.
