Financial Analyst

About the role

The Financial Analyst will support business growth by managing budgeting, latest estimate activities, inventory control, and financial reporting. The role ensures accurate accounting, tax compliance, and the preparation of local financial statements in line with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor receivables and coordinate with stakeholders for timely collection.
• Perform quarterly reconciliation analysis of sales with distributors.
• Prepare accruals during month‑end closing and collaborate with the accounting team for accurate reporting.
• Record commercial invoices, reconcile AR entries, and manage bookkeeping, taxes, and local financial statements.
• Investigate monthly and ad‑hoc COGS variances, supporting budget and forecast reporting.
• Verify warehouse stock movements, reconcile inventory balances, and manage scrap/write‑offs.
• Oversee the TMS cycle up to gross profit level, ensuring proper reconciliation and compliance.
• Conduct volume‑mix and price analysis to assess revenue performance and margin impact.
• Analyze brand‑level profitability by consolidating revenue and cost drivers.
• Prepare, review, and analyze distributor P&L on a quarterly basis.
• Track OPEX, compare actuals to benchmarks, and comment on variances.
• Maintain up‑to‑date price lists and reconcile commercial figures each month.
• Assist the Finance Manager with the budget exercise and coordinate data collection across teams.
• Prepare management presentation decks on forecasts and business performance.
• Provide cost‑reduction recommendations and support internal control framework activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CMA or CPA is a plus.
• 2–4 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or related areas.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to accuracy and detail.
• Full‑time availability with residency in Baghdad preferred.
• Self‑motivated and able to perform under pressure.
