Field Doctor

About the role

The Field Doctor reports to the Lead Doctor and provides medical support for field operations, focusing on occupational health, emergency preparedness, and trauma response. Working closely with site management, HSE teams, and contractors, the role ensures medical readiness and workforce safety in a demanding oil‑field environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement primary health‑care programs and hygiene quality assurance for all personnel on the Majnoon Oil Field.
• Manage medical operations, including occupational health, emergency care, and trauma response.
• Draft, maintain, and update health procedures and documentation in line with international standards and local legislation.
• Maintain GLMS systems with up‑to‑date fitness‑to‑work (FTW) information.
• Coordinate HRA follow‑up with SMEs to ensure control measures are applied and reviewed.
• Deliver FTW assessments, ensuring staff are physically and mentally fit for their duties.
• Implement return‑to‑work (RTW) policies according to IFMS standards and local law.
• Provide emergency and occupational health training for medical staff, BOC assignees, and external medical service providers.

Required profile

• Medical degree with licensure to practice.
• Experience in field or occupational health, preferably in oil‑field or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of international health standards and local legislation.
• Ability to develop and maintain health documentation and procedures.
• Strong collaboration skills with HSE, site management, and contractor teams.
