Database and Web Developer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Database and Web Developer to support its Returns and Recovery Unit. The role will manage the DTM website, develop web portals, and create data visualisations to aid migration‑related programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise the DTM website and ensure high performance.
• Design, develop, test and deploy new web content and a submission‑viewer portal.
• Manage source code on Microsoft Azure Repos and oversee backup, restore and security procedures.
• Create dashboards and interactive reports using Highcharts, Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
• Develop SQL objects (tables, views, functions, stored procedures) for reporting and data processing.
• Support data quality control, data collection tools (e.g., ODK) and ICT data‑standards compliance.
• Assist in defining the website’s technical architecture and integrating systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in web development and database management.
• Ability to work under general guidance and supervise junior staff.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
