Database and Web Developer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Database and Web Developer to join its Returns and Recovery Unit in Erbil. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and databases that support migration‑related data management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET C# and the MVC framework.
• Design, implement, and administer MySQL and SQL Server databases.
• Coordinate data collection, storage, processing, and analysis to produce information products.
• Supervise the National Database Officer and provide overall guidance to the DTM Coordinator.
• Manage data entry processes and ensure data quality and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma with seven years of experience.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience with Excel, Microsoft Visual Studio (ASP.NET C#), ASP.NET MVC, MySQL and SQL Server.
• Experience using Git and Microsoft Azure Repos.
• Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBI, Highcharts and InDesign is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
