Data Centre System Team Lead (Onsite)

About the role

The System Team Lead is responsible for guiding system administrators and engineers to ensure that data‑centre IT services remain stable, secure, and efficient while supporting ongoing business and project operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor system administrators and engineers, allocating work and fostering technical discipline.
• Maintain stability, security and efficiency of IT systems to support business and project operations.
• Coordinate system upgrades, patching, maintenance windows and technical changes.
• Oversee complex troubleshooting, escalation management, root‑cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Develop, maintain and promote best‑practice documentation, runbooks and operational standards.
• Contribute to IT governance, reporting, risk reduction and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading or mentoring system administrators and engineers in an enterprise environment.
• Extensive background in systems administration, infrastructure support and IT engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage complex troubleshooting activities.
• Operational discipline focused on stability, security, availability and efficiency.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and oversee upgrades, patching and continuous improvement.
• Excellent documentation discipline and clear communication with technical and business stakeholders.
