Cleaner – Facility Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the CSS Center in Gatoon, Diyala. The role involves daily cleaning of offices, common areas, bathrooms and supporting basic hospitality tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Clean offices, corridors, meeting rooms, reception and other shared spaces on a daily basis.
• Disinfect and maintain bathrooms and toilets each day.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of waste according to centre procedures.
• Prepare tea and other refreshments on request and wash related utensils.
• Maintain and organise cleaning supplies and hygiene materials.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning consumables and report replenishment needs.
• Report any damages, maintenance issues or safety concerns to the line manager promptly.
• Set up and tidy meeting rooms before and after sessions.
• Cooperate respectfully with DRC staff, partners and beneficiaries while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in cleaning offices, public buildings or similar facilities.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, hygiene practices and safe handling of equipment.
• Ability to keep the workplace clean, organised and safe.
• Professional attitude when interacting with staff, beneficiaries and visitors.
• Flexibility to support additional tasks or work outside normal hours when required.
• Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage.
• Familiarity with hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Use of basic cleaning equipment (mops, vacuums, etc.).
