ASYCUDA Officer

About the role

The ASYCUDA Officer supports the ASYCUDA Supervisor in processing and monitoring cross‑border payment and import transactions that require ASYCUDA documentation. The role ensures compliance with Central Bank of Iraq regulations, customs requirements, and internal bank policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the ASYCUDA Supervisor with daily processing of ASYCUDA‑related transactions.
• Review cross‑border payments to identify applicable ASYCUDA requirements.
• Obtain, verify, and record ASYCUDA codes and related import information.
• Upload and maintain ASYCUDA data and supporting documents in relevant systems.
• Follow up on outstanding ASYCUDA files after payment execution and monitor post‑payment procedures.
• Coordinate with branches, customers, Trade Finance, International Banking, Compliance, Operations, and other departments to resolve incomplete or pending ASYCUDA requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of open, pending, completed, and overdue ASYCUDA cases.
• Prepare periodic status reports for the ASYCUDA Supervisor and management.
• Stay updated on regulatory instructions and procedural changes related to ASYCUDA and import payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of banking experience, preferably in international payments, trade finance, customs/import procedures, or ASYCUDA.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory procedures.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English; Kurdish is an advantage.
