General Accountant

About the role

EZMA Holding is seeking a General Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, inventory‑related transactions and multi‑currency payments in Erbil. The role will support financial reporting and collaborate with procurement and vendor teams to ensure accurate financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Handle procurement accounting, including purchase orders, goods receipts and vendor documentation.
• Record inventory transactions, allocate landed costs and ensure proper documentation for accurate valuation.
• Prepare and process outgoing payments in multiple currencies and perform currency conversions.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and assist in preparing payment schedules.
• Perform account reconciliations for bank, payables, inventory and other balance‑sheet accounts.
• Support management with financial data and reports as required.
• Execute other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading/import environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory accounting.
• Fluency in Kurdish and English.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP system) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with multi‑currency transaction handling and foreign‑exchange differences.
• Inventory accounting expertise.
• Solid knowledge of core accounting principles.
