Emergency Medical Technician (EMT Advanced/Paramedic) – Iraq

About the role

This position provides emergency medical care in Iraq, responding to urgent health incidents and delivering life‑saving treatment in the field. The EMT works as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient‑centered care and acts as an advocate for patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess patients on scene.
• Determine appropriate treatment and transport decisions.
• Provide first aid, life‑support care, and basic wound management.
• Assist medical providers with procedures within the licensed scope of practice.
• Document vital signs, chief complaints, medical history, and medications.
• Develop and follow care plans according to established protocols.
• Report any changes in patient condition to the supervising medical provider.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as catheter insertion, blood specimen collection, urine collection, EKGs, visual acuity testing, and wound care.

Required profile

• Licensed EMT Advanced or EMT Paramedic.
• Experience in emergency medical response and patient assessment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with patients, families, and medical staff.
