Director of Finance

About the role

Rixos is seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to lead financial operations across its hotel portfolio. The role involves overseeing cash flow, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s luxury hospitality vision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate accurate cash flow statements, manage receivables, payables, and cash balances.
• Ensure compliance with all local fiscal laws, obtain necessary permits, and safeguard legal financial documents.
• Review and approve daily, monthly, and audit reports, monitoring revenue and expense trends.
• Investigate budget variances, propose improvement actions, and support capital planning initiatives.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, including timely bank reconciliations.
• Assist in recruiting and developing a diverse finance team.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with a professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years managerial finance experience, preferably in the Middle East and specifically Iraq.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial operations in a hotel or hospitality environment.
