Creative Art Director - Freelance

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Creative/Art Director to provide cultural and creative advisory input for an international storytelling project focused on Iraqi heritage. This short‑term engagement (3‑4 days) will be remote and requires immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the cultural narrative and storytelling direction for the project.
• Develop visual language, references, and symbolism rooted in Iraqi heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
• Provide design cues that reflect local architecture, traditions, and modern creative expression.
• Ensure creative alignment across the international team to deliver an authentic cultural representation.

Required profile

• Mid‑level creative professional with experience in art direction, design, branding, advertising, visual arts, or creative strategy.
• Strong understanding of Iraqi culture, heritage, traditions, and architecture.
• Ability to deliver fast, insightful, and constructive feedback within an active design process.
• Comfortable collaborating with an international team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with cultural, exhibition, pavilion, or large‑scale international projects is a plus.
