Country Manager – Iraq

About the role
The Iraq Country Manager is the company’s lead representative in Iraq, reporting directly to the CEO. The role focuses on business development, client relationship building, and expanding the company’s portfolio across federal Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Key responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, clients, and partnerships.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with public and private sector clients.
- Open new relationships with ministries, state institutions, large corporates, startups, universities, and NGOs.
- Represent the company at meetings, events, and high‑level engagements in Baghdad, Erbil, and other governorates.
- Pitch services, negotiate agreements, and close deals.
- Leverage personal and professional networks to generate qualified leads.
- Map the Iraqi ecosystem and prioritize focus areas.
- Act as the official face of the company, ensuring compliance with local regulations and cultural norms.
- Report country performance, pipeline, and key wins to the CEO and collaborate with the global team.
Required profile
- Iraqi national eligible to work in Iraq.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, International Relations or related field.
- Strong, active network across Iraqi government, business, and community circles.
- Proven ability to open doors, build relationships and generate new business.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Arabic and English (Kurdish a plus).
- Willingness to travel throughout Iraq, including Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region.
- High integrity and zero tolerance for unethical practices.
