YouTube Specialist – Channel Management & SEO

About the role

We are looking for a proactive YouTube Specialist to lead the growth and optimisation of Kurdistan24’s YouTube channel. You will manage day‑to‑day operations, implement SEO‑driven publishing workflows and turn viewers into loyal subscribers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee channel operations: upload videos, organise playlists and maintain channel health.
• Optimise content for search: craft compelling titles, write keyword‑rich descriptions, add tags, chapters and metadata.
• Develop and test high‑performing thumbnails, collaborating with design or creating them yourself.
• Monitor performance using YouTube Analytics and produce regular reports on watch time, CTR, audience retention and subscriber growth.
• Engage the community by responding to comments, managing community posts and fostering a positive brand environment.
• Stay current with algorithm changes, new features such as Shorts and emerging trends to keep the strategy innovative.
• Collaborate with video editors and product teams to align video content with broader marketing campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience managing and growing a corporate or creator YouTube channel.
• Deep knowledge of YouTube Studio, analytics and platform best practices.
• Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, keyword research and metadata optimisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with copy‑writing ability.
