Technical Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Technical Procurement Specialist will work full‑time on‑site in Erbil, managing end‑to‑end purchasing for industrial, MRO and oil & gas equipment. The role ensures that procurement decisions align with engineering requirements, project budgets and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify material and service requirements, prepare and issue purchase orders, and track deliveries.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations and finance teams to align procurement with project needs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and purchase order management.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation and building effective supplier relationships.
• Solid analytical skills for quotation comparison and total cost of ownership assessment.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and work closely with engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain management or related field preferred.
• Fluency in English; Arabic and/or Kurdish knowledge is an advantage.
