Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Al Safi Group is hiring a full-time Supply Chain Manager based at its headquarters in Al-Maamoun, Baghdad. The role covers the end-to-end supply chain, from procurement and logistics through warehouse and inventory control to distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, logistics, warehouse, inventory control and distribution.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company's goals.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
• Monitor and forecast demand to keep inventory balanced and avoid stockouts or overstock.
• Coordinate with production, sales and customer service teams for timely order fulfillment.
• Oversee logistics and transportation to ensure cost-effective, on-time delivery.
• Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to drive improvements.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors and third-party logistics providers.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies, and prepare performance reports for senior management.
• Assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics and inventory management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in supply chain management software such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and organizational skills.
