Senior Ticketing Agent

About the role

AL YAS GROUP is looking for a Senior Ticketing Agent to join its travel and corporate services team in Baghdad. The role involves managing end‑to‑end flight and corporate travel reservations, building complex international itineraries and delivering premium service to VIP and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle high‑volume ticketing operations, including issuing, re‑issuing, manual fare construction and split‑ticketing for multi‑destination routes.
• Design and coordinate bespoke luxury travel programmes for corporate and VIP clients, covering hotel procurement, private transfers and fast‑track airport services.
• Plan comprehensive itineraries for delegations, training trips and scientific conferences, securing ground logistics such as car rentals and multilingual guides.
• Negotiate with airlines, hotel chains and B2B platforms to obtain competitive corporate rates and group allocations.
• Monitor Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) reports to ensure IATA compliance and avoid agency debit memos.
• Provide immediate, high‑touch support for complex booking changes, delays or emergency travel modifications.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in a high‑volume travel agency, corporate travel desk or airline ticketing office.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail under pressure.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) – Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre.
• Certification or proven ability in manual fare construction.
• In‑depth knowledge of IATA regulations and BSP reporting.
• Familiarity with global hotel booking engines and visa requirements for Iraqi passport holders.
