Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the role

The Senior Reservoir Engineer will provide expert consultation on complex reservoir development, technical and administrative challenges, and support senior management in decision‑making for the company’s oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic consultation and solutions for complex, unforeseen, and anticipated reservoir challenges.
• Define study scopes, lead related activities, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Review major technical and commercial issues, coordinate data gathering, and analyse information to resolve problems.
• Liaise with all levels of staff to investigate challenges, recommend fit‑for‑purpose actions, and prepare final proposals for management.
• Assess business processes, provide risk‑management guidance, and develop long‑term improvement plans.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership for critical business decisions.
• Coach and mentor employees to develop technical and behavioural competencies.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Science or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in reservoir engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Effective communication and decision‑making capabilities.
