Senior Finance Associate – IP Compliance

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to support the financial management of Implementing Partners (IPs). Reporting to the Localization and Partnership Officer and working closely with the Senior Resources Management Officer and Finance Officer (Compliance), the incumbent will ensure transparent, reliable, and accountable handling of IP financial resources.

Key responsibilities

• Support IP selection by reviewing call for proposals and representing the Resource Management Unit in selection committees.
• Review IP budgets for reasonableness, accuracy, and compliance with IOM and donor regulations.
• Coordinate IP capacity assessments and maintain an archive of assessment reports.
• Conduct mid‑term and final spot‑checks of IP financial documents and archive spot‑check reports.
• Witness IP tender opening and evaluation processes when required.
• Recommend and promote mechanisms to prevent fraud and corruption among IPs, raising awareness of fraud reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance, budgeting, and compliance within an international or donor‑funded environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for reviewing budgets and financial documents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with program staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of UN agency financial rules and donor regulations.
