Senior Cost Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cost Accounting Specialist to lead end‑to‑end cost accounting activities for our operations in Iraq. The role ensures accurate cost data, compliance with local regulations and supports decision‑making across production and corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full cost accounting cycle, including month‑end journal entries, accruals, amortisations and allocations.
• Execute monthly processes in ERP systems, monitor raw material movements and production cost entries across sites.
• Perform stock reconciliations, analyse consumption variances and prepare periodic cost analysis reports.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Handle intercompany transactions, corporate cost allocations and material pricing control.
• Partner with Operations and G&A teams to deliver timely financial data and insights on cost and expense variances.
• Drive continuous improvement of cost accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production processes and costing structures.
• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliation and audit support.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; Kurdish or Turkish a plus.

Required skills

• ERP systems (experience with Logo ERP and SAP preferred).
• Advanced MS Excel.
