Security Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and decisive Security Manager to lead security operations for a hotel that is part of the Accor network in Baghdad, Iraq. You will be responsible for safeguarding assets, personnel, and daily operations while fostering a professional and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all security operations, including access control, surveillance systems, patrols, and incident response.
• Design, implement, and maintain security procedures and policies in line with company standards and local regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, document occurrences, and manage crisis situations.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise the security team to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and security regulations and prepare reports for management.
• Coordinate with operations, HR, and facility management to integrate security into daily activities.
• Manage the security budget, vendor relationships, and procurement of equipment.
• Investigate security breaches, thefts, and policy violations with discretion.
• Develop emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure staff are familiar with evacuation procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security management, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
