SAP Program Manager - S/4HANA

About the role

Basrah Mas Company for General Contracting, an oil and gas and EPC contractor based in Basra, Iraq, runs SAP S/4HANA across its construction and oil and gas business lines. The SAP Program Manager leads the company's SAP S/4HANA program end to end, ensuring system design, controls and supporting contracts align with the company's operating model, delegation of authority and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP program governance: planning, budget, risks, change control and executive reporting
• Translate the operating model and delegation of authority into SAP requirements, using fit-to-standard design
• Ensure approval workflows, release strategies and authorizations reflect the approved delegation of authority
• Manage implementation and support partners against service levels and manage the SAP subscription
• Lead segregation-of-duties design, access reviews and audit readiness
• Plan and deliver well-designed, documented SAP environments, including data migration, testing and cut-over
• Build in-house capability so routine changes no longer depend on external partners

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, finance or business
• 10+ years in SAP, including 2+ S/4HANA programmes led as project or programme manager
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification
• Fluent English; Arabic desirable
• No current employment with, or commercial interest in, the company's SAP implementation or support partners

Required skills

• Strong functional knowledge of MM, FI/CO and PS
• Working knowledge of SAP Activate and fit-to-standard design
• Experience managing SAP implementation partners, support providers and subscription contracts
• Experience in SAP security, authorizations and segregation of duties
• Desirable: SAP S/4HANA Cloud (RISE with SAP), SAP GRC, SD and HCM / SuccessFactors; experience in oil and gas, EPC or construction and in the Middle East
