Sales Development Associate

About the role

A leading delivery company in Iraq is seeking a motivated Sales Development Associate to expand its merchant network and drive new business opportunities in Basra. The role is focused on acquiring new merchants, generating sales leads, and contributing directly to the company’s growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants and potential business clients.
• Conduct cold calls, outbound calls, and proactive sales outreach.
• Research and identify new business opportunities within the market.
• Present the company's delivery services and solutions to potential clients.
• Qualify leads and convert prospects into active merchants.
• Negotiate with potential clients and communicate the value of the company's services.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with merchants.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information through the CRM.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer acquisition (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident personality with strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Customer‑oriented with relationship‑building skills.
• Basic knowledge of CRM systems and sales tracking.
• Experience in delivery, logistics, e‑commerce, or related industries is a plus.
