Quality Control Chemist

About the role

Latinum HR is recruiting a Quality Control Chemist for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing client in Sulemani, Iraq. The role involves performing chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in a GMP‑compliant laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of raw materials, packaging, intermediates and finished products according to approved specifications.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV spectrophotometer, FTIR and dissolution testers.
• Perform routine analysis, stability studies and analytical testing activities.
• Prepare analytical reports, worksheets and laboratory documentation.
• Review results to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Participate in method validation, method transfer and analytical investigations.
• Handle OOS, OOT, deviations and laboratory investigations.
• Maintain laboratory records, logbooks and support internal, customer and regulatory audits.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratories.
• Strong exposure to chemical analysis and hands‑on experience with HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR and dissolution instruments.
• Good understanding of cGMP, GLP and data‑integrity requirements.
• Experience with documentation, laboratory compliance and analytical investigations.
• Willingness to relocate to Iraq and ability to join immediately or within a short notice period.
