Project Health Safety Environment Manager

About the role

The Project Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager will lead all HSE activities on the Madinat Al Ward development, ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations and international standards while fostering a strong safety culture across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously update project‑specific HSE policies, procedures and safety management plans.
• Ensure full alignment with local environmental regulations and international OHS protocols.
• Conduct rigorous risk assessments, regular site inspections and thorough incident investigations; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and audit contractor and subcontractor HSE performance to uphold Ora’s safety standards.
• Design and deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions; manage emergency response and evacuation planning.
• Prepare detailed HSE performance reports, safety statistics and KPIs for senior management.
• Champion behavior‑based safety initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Construction or related discipline).
• Minimum 12 years of HSE management experience in construction or large‑scale projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health protocols.
• Proficiency with NEBOSH standards and certifications.
• Experience in project management with a focus on safety and environmental planning.
