Programme Support Coordinator

About the role

The Programme Support Coordinator will oversee programme development, administration and financial management for IOM's Iraq Mission, working under the Deputy Chief of Mission and the Head of Partnership and Programme Support Unit.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate programme development, administrative and financial aspects of project implementation.
• Prepare reports, budgets, statistics and coordinate administrative activities with multiple divisions (MEAL, finance, logistics, HR, etc.).
• Liaise with governmental, diplomatic and international authorities and manage foreign government funding mechanisms.
• Supervise, coach and direct staff, ensuring efficient on‑time project delivery in transitional contexts.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a university degree with seven years of experience.
• Previous experience in an international organization, knowledge of UN systems, and experience in project development, reporting and M&E.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); working knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications and relational databases.
• Knowledge of IOM/UN Common System regulations, IPSAS and SAP (PRISM) – advantageous.
• Strong financial oversight and public administration knowledge.
• Ability to develop results matrices, log‑frames and produce analytical reports.
