Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement Specialist to join Alhasani Home Center in Baghdad. The role focuses on managing purchasing activities, supplier relationships, import operations and inventory planning to support our home‑furnishing business.

Key responsibilities

• Execute approved purchase orders in the Odoo ERP system according to procurement plans and budgets.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with local and international suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; evaluate supplier performance.
• Coordinate import shipments, container loading and prepare customs documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels, analyse demand and stock turnover, and determine replenishment needs.
• Prepare procurement reports and identify cost‑optimization and process‑improvement opportunities.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain, including import operations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP or other ERP systems.
• Knowledge of procurement, inventory management and supply‑chain processes.
• Familiarity with customs documentation and shipment coordination.
