Linux System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator to manage and maintain our Linux server environment. You will work directly with the command line, handle system services, and ensure the reliability of our infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Linux servers, including user/group management, SSH configuration, and file system permissions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot CPU, RAM, and disk issues, and manage services with systemd.
• Maintain package management (apt), disk mounts, and storage configurations such as RAID and Ceph.
• Configure networking basics, DNS, routing, and firewalls (iptables, nftables, ufw).
• Support container workloads using Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.
• Automate routine tasks with Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Analyze logs (journalctl, /var/log) and apply security hardening and patch management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Administrator.
• Fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
• Enjoys learning new technologies and can troubleshoot calmly.

Required skills

• Linux operating system and command‑line proficiency.
• Systemd, apt package management, and disk management.
• SSH, journalctl, and basic performance monitoring tools (top, htop, ps).
• Networking fundamentals: IP addressing, DNS, routing, and firewall configuration.
• Docker containers and basic Kubernetes concepts.
• Scripting in Bash and Python; automation with Ansible.
• Web server administration (Nginx) and version control (Git).
• Basic knowledge of Ceph storage and CI/CD pipelines.
