Junior Accountant – Baghdad

About the role

We are seeking a junior Accountant to join our finance team in Baghdad. The role is ideal for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and up to three years of experience who are eager to develop their skills in general accounting, budgeting and treasury functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update general ledger entries and financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare and review financial reports ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate effectively in English and Arabic with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1‑3 years of relevant experience, preferably in general accounting, budgeting or treasury.
• Fluent in English (good proficiency) and Arabic.
• Male candidates preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Notice period of one month or less.
