Instrumentation & ICSS Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation & ICSS Engineer to lead commissioning and field operations on major oil & gas projects. The role involves overseeing the integration, testing and validation of control and safety systems across on‑site installations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and system commissioning activities, including loop testing and functional validation.
• Perform DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC and ICSS integration, configuration and testing.
• Validate instrument loop diagrams and ensure conformity with design specifications.
• Prepare and review RFC, AOC and TOMC documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, managing interfaces and leading a transverse team of 3‑5 members.
• Apply OPERCOM methodology and ICAPS systems throughout engineering, construction, hook‑up, commissioning and start‑up phases.

Required profile

• 10+ years of commissioning/field operations experience.
• 6‑7 years as an Instrument and System Commissioning Leader on on‑shore oil & gas projects.
• Engineering degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Electrical or related field.
• Excellent English communication, methodical approach and strong leadership skills.

Required skills

• DCS architecture and loop testing.
• ESD sequence testing and validation.

• PLC programming, testing and validation.
• ICSS integration and commissioning.
• PCS knowledge within oil & gas facilities.
• Instrument loop diagram checks and functional testing.
