Information Technology Manager

About the role

Halliburton is looking for an Information Technology Manager to manage the IT requirements of work groups at a major office location or country, with regional and local supervision and support. The role sits within the Support Services product service line of Halliburton Project Management, is based in Basra, Iraq, and is a full-time experienced hire.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT requirements for work groups under broad direction, including regional and local supervision and support.
• Manage and prioritize requests for hardware, software, systems access and user support.
• Coordinate hardware and software installation and configuration for desktop computers, laptops, printers, servers and networks.
• Review IT requirements to deliver cost-effective solutions in line with IT standards, policies, procedures and best practices.
• Identify IT opportunities to improve business or project operations.
• Lead the development and implementation of strategies for information management and application usage.
• Develop, review and approve IT estimates.
• Act as escalation contact for IT service delivery and billing issues.
• Supervise others directly or through subordinate supervisors, coordinate activities within the functional area and interpret higher-level directions.
• Hold budgetary accountability or directly impact a revenue center's viability or service quality, and contribute directly to value creation.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a related technology or business field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6-8 years or more of experience in related IT and business processes, including IT coordination and management.
• Experienced hire; the position is full time.
