Human Resources Manager

About the role

Lead all HR functions for PEG's Iraq office and project sites, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and supporting the company's engineering and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, manpower planning and employee retention initiatives.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances and conflict resolution.
• Oversee leave administration, employee records and ensure compliance with Iraqi labor regulations.
• Coordinate government‑related HR matters, liaise with legal advisors and monitor regulatory changes.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics and support project mobilization/demobilisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or related field.
• 8‑10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in engineering, construction or EPC environments.
• Strong knowledge of Iraqi Labor Law, visa and work‑permit processes.
• Fluent in English; Arabic highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HR management systems.
