About the role
The Head Teller will supervise daily teller and cash operations at the Basra branch, ensuring accurate transactions, proper cash control, and high‑quality customer service in line with bank policies and Central Bank of Iraq requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily teller activities and cash transactions, monitor cash balances and ensure compliance with approved limits.
- Review and authorize teller transactions, ensure daily cash reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage cash transfers, safeguard cash and related documents, and support tellers in daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with AML/KYC requirements, bank policies, and Central Bank instructions while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of banking experience, preferably in teller or cash operations.
Required skills
- Cash handling and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC regulations.
