GIS Coordinator – Basra, Iraq

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced GIS Coordinator to support its Iraq Business Unit. The role focuses on the development and execution of the Field concession program by managing geospatial information, land allocation processes, and GIS services. This is a full‑time, on‑site position in Basra working on a 5‑day on/2‑day off rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Field concession program through effective GIS support.
• Maintain and enhance a centralized GIS database.
• Manage land allocation processes and provide accurate spatial information.
• Support the GIS Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Deliver GIS services to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a GIS Coordinator or in a similar GIS‑focused role.
• Ability to work on‑site in Basra with a 5/2 shift pattern.
• Strong understanding of geospatial data management and land allocation workflows.
