Geographic Information System Specialist – Midstream

About the role
The Geographic Information System Specialist will support our midstream operations by leveraging ArcGIS and spatial database tools to deliver accurate analytics, risk assessments, and data-driven insights for pipeline and asset management.
Key responsibilities
- Use the ArcGIS platform to analyze spatial data and maintain customer‑focused spatial databases.
- Update the MC database to reflect midstream reporting needs and respond to customer requests.
- Monitor GIS technology trends and NACE corrosion standards to keep solutions current.
- Assist upstream business development teams with well‑location analysis, revenue analytics, and tank service metrics.
- Conduct field surveys to collect GIS data for pipeline operation and asset management modules.
- Develop proprietary software for pipeline segment risk analysis and automate workflows for large‑scale topographic queries.
- Participate in proposals and account‑management meetings with customers generating over $1 million in revenue.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geoscience, Geospatial Science, GIS, Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in GIS and spatial data management.
